Range Genealogical Society

Range Genealogical Society is Minnesota’s oldest genealogical society, having been founded in 1968. The Society’s mission is to serve the genealogical communities of all three of Minnesota's iron ranges, the Vermillion, Mesabi and Cuyuna Ranges. We do that through regular meetings, a newsletter, and our partnership with the Minnesota Discovery Center Research Center in Chisholm.

Meetings and Conferences

We meet about four times a year and have co-sponsored an annual Digging For Your Roots Genealogical and Local History Conference, both at Minnesota Discovery Center, Chisholm.

• Our next meeting is:
• November 20 at 10:00am at the MN Discovery Center. This will continue our follow up of the last couple of meetings in regards to how we structure ourselves. It will also give an opportunity for reports on several current projects.
• The February meeting will be on February 19 at 10:00am at the MN Discovery Center.
